About me
Known as a culture-bridging entrepreneur, chartered linguist, motivational author, and all-round people person; my name is Rasha Alajouz, and I am a solution-focused mentor and coach that energizes, empowers, and elevates women and girls to become the change they want to be.
My journey began in 1999, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in English from the Faculty of Alsun, Ain Shams University, and honed both my practical and professional skills as soon as I started working as a data specialist and translator.
I had always dreamt of using my passion for people in a really purposeful and possible way, but it wasn’t until 5 years later where my deepest dream began to crystallize as I returned to school to earn my Translation Diploma Certificate from the Faculty of Arts Cairo University. Then, inspired by people’s drive, multi-diversity, and provoking personal pursuits, I co-founded LadyLingua Ltd., a company that helps both entrepreneurs and women linguists realize their why. Cue my cultural-bridging entrepreneurship–a journey that sparked my truest purpose of revitalizing female entrepreneurs and linguists to discover, understand and pursue their personal WHY.
Motivated to expand my knowledge, experience, and expertise, I launched R-School, an online platform to help kids and teens learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves. Fast forward 3 years later, I qualified as a chartered linguist, became a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), and expanded R-School’s offerings, became a Global Leadership & EQ-i 2.0® EQ-360® Certified Assessor, and received the 2020 TIAW World of Difference Award.
A couple of years later, I became a member of the CIOL Council, pursued in depth the ART and Science of Coaching and volunteered in the First Cohort of #Qudwah mentorship program at the Women Leadership Center as a Mentor for prospective female leaders.
Fuelled by vision, resilience, and cultural change-making, I have allowed every emotional and societal obstacle to shape me rather than break me, using each setback as an opportunity to learn, improve and develop myself entirely. Rooted in my purpose, I have used my ‘WHY’ as a personal moral compass to keep me on track: why I began this journey, why I should continue and why it’s important to me. Through my vision and people’s ambition, I am able to help others discover their purpose, pursue their passion, and unlock their potential with less fuss and more freedom. If I can touch the life of one person, two people, ten people, then my work is definitely worth it.
Each phase of my life and career has shaped me into the person I’m today: A solution-focused coach and mentor with resilience and impact
